Helping Others
This page is dedicated to the dogs that need our help or organizations that help make their lives better. We currently are helping B.A.R.K. and SCWDA.
B.A.R.K. stands for the Bristol Area Resident K-9's. They are a non profit organization raising money for a dog park in Bristol, CT. They have fund raisers throughout the year to help raise money and also take donations. In April is there next Pasta Supper Benefit. More information is on our Bulletin Board page. We also have a doantion jar here at the store so you can donate. Their website is www.bristoldogpark.com
SCWDA stands for Space Coast War Dog Association. They are dedicated to preserving the memory of past, present and future military working dogs. Military dogs have worked beside our soldiers since WWII. These dogs and their handlers are highly trained and become partners, not dogs and their owners. In many cases, the dogs have protected and saved their soldier partner or the soldier has saved and protected their 4-legged comrad. SCWDA works to raise money and supplies for the soldiers and their K-9 partners. Our 4-legged soldiers are not equipped with life saving equipment and supplies. Alot of bullet proof vests are needed and cooling vests and beds. We have a donation jar here that we raise money and then I use that money to buy supplies like ear and eye wipes and treats at wholesale prices. In return for doing this, we have received letters and photos from the soldiers and their dogs. We have them posted on our wall for everyone to read. They are always very grateful for everything they get.
