About Us
Our story starts out about June of 2006.  My husband, Kyle, brought home a dry mix that came with a dog bone cookie cutter one day and asked for me to make it for our dog, Kort.  We thought it must be better than dog bones you buy in the store since we are adding the wet ingredients and baking them ourselves.  The only problem is that you had to bake the biscuits for an hour and a half and then leave in a warm oven for eight hours to make crunchy.  This was just insane to us.  We would spend a fortune just trying to make a dozen or so cookies.

So with my background of having a mother who has always baked and taught me the rules and the support of my husband, I decided I was going to try to do this myself with my own creations.  I started out with just a few like the Sasha's Inspiration and the Kort's Favorite, then added the Bunny Bagels.  We could not make them fast enough.  We were getting feedback from our customers like: dogs that never begged for food or were food motivated were now going nuts for them.

So I told my husband I wanted to open up a dog bakery with specialty items like toys and stuff that you can not find in regular stores.  I wanted a store that was for the dog only, no human merchandise.  He thought I was absolutely INSANE.  After showing him some stuff on the web and the amount of cookies I was going through, he said lets give it a try.  Now he is a big believer and loves to come to work on Saturdays at the store and in the evening as much as possible.

We have worked hard to make our store different from other dog bakeries.  We have a small space set up for photos that we only charge $4.50 for.  You can see a picture on the site.  We also take a photo of EVERY dog on their first trip to our store and try to print it out while you are here.  We then write your dogs name on it and hang it on our wall.  As of February, 2010 we have 1800+ photos and counting every day.

We also pride ourselves with finding items like Fine Wine For The Canine  and Giant Pez Dispensers that dispenses special dog treats. We carry clothing for  dogs from teacup to XXXL sizes, toys, grooming products, and the best quality bones and chews. We have recently found Yoghund Ice Cream in 2 flavors (Banana & P.B.: made from organic frozen yogurt, banana puree, organic peanut butter or Blueberry & Vanilla: made from organic frozen yogurt, organic blueberry juice and organic vanilla) or the healthiest dog foods like Ziwi Peak and of course, our fresh baked on site, one of a kind treats.  Each treat is different in look and different in taste.  We also have birthday cakes that are in a bone shape or round and come with carob icing, a cream cheese and honey border and writing and a yogurt card for the bone cake or a yogurt "character" for the round.

We also have an information center with books on all types of dogs and bulletins, etc.  You are able to research a dog breed you have now or a breed you are looking to get.

We now do Bow Wow Social Hour all year long, even during the winter.  It is held first Wednesday and third Thursday of the month from 5:00 - 7:00 pm and the Saturday between the Wednesday and Thursday.  Cost is free with treats for the dogs and refreshments for the owners.  We also have a free raffle at the end of the night.  Local businesses also donate to the auction on an occassion and we have .

We hope you can come and visit us.  I think you and your 4-legged family members will have great time.
